Hazardous Substance Spill Control - Level 1
This course is specifically intended for staff member(s) who have responsibilities for responding to a hazardous substance spill or leak in their workplace. Supervisors and other senior decision makers can also benefit from attending this course and gain a better understanding of the environmental legislation, the environmental emergency response plan, and the spill response team’s role and responsibilities following a chemical spill.
The course will provide the essential foundation for the spill response team and others responsible for managing a hazardous substance spill, to meet their increased responsibilities under the Canada Occupational Safety and Health Regulations, Federal and Provincial Regulations. The course is designed to incorporate the client’s Environmental Policy, Directives, Emergency Response Plan.
All participants, successfully completing the course, will receive a Certificate of Participation.
